Who Should Attend?

The course is designed for any manager whose duties include responsibility for all or part of a project as well as for managers whose jobs involve frequent interactions with project leaders. It will also be of great benefit to project team members.

Application activity:   The Assessment Inventory for Project Management Kit. Participants use this unique 360-degree evaluation tool to benchmark and improve their project management skills.

Effective Project Planning

Application activity:   Structuring and organizing a project team. Participants share their experiences in organizing, structuring and developing performance baselines for their projects. They evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their approaches based on the information learned in the course.

Organizing and Staffing Project Teams

Directing and Leading the Project Team

Application activity:   Assessing your problem-solving style. Participants are grouped according to preferred problem-solving style to learn techniques to build on their strengths and capitalize on the contrasting strengths of others.

Application activity:   Project situations. Participants are grouped in teams according to their respective management styles and develop responses to a series of management challenges.

Project Control Techniques

Project Management Reporting

Application activity:   Creating a Management Reporting System. Participants develop appropriate reporting (method, formats, information) with which to control their typical projects.
